Hey guys, after almost a week being in Kings Lynn, I finally got my internet going! I've been working in the production department this week, feeding carrots into the machine
s, checking the status of the machines and trying to fix it were necessary. That last part was a bit of a problem, since I almost always needed to get some other guy to fix it for me! But hey! I got 2 left hands.
Other than that I seriously have to get used to the English accent around here. Up in the office the English is pretty standard, no problems there. But on the factory floor the accent is horrible! Oy 'ou lot! Get op ere etc etc.
I'm staying in a family of 2 dinosaurs (this is what they call themselves), but they are really nice. My hostess is Betty and my host is Peter. They make breakfast, lunch and diner for me and Betty said she would even do my laundry (she didn't see my dirt/carrot orange trousers yet)!
In the meantime the only thing they really do is Watch tv (soap opera's like Correnation Street and Eastenders) and spend time on the internet.
On the downside, I haven't got my camera yet so I can't show you all of my adventures at the carrot line.
This is it for now, I'm heading out in Lynn to get to know the place a little!
